One in four patients suffering from heart problems are at the risk of developing Sleep Apnea. It is a serious sleep disorder which puts excess stress on the heart increasing the risk of heart problems. Sleep Apnea causes pauses in breathing which can make the oxygen level go down. This can result in the heart rhythm to flutter. This complication also occurs during the time of sudden cardiac deaths which accounts for almost 50% of cardiovascular deaths in India.
